Casa da Suite Distinta

Description

4 Guests
1 bedroom

3° floor
You are in one of the most recent cultural-fashion areas of Milan, in the heart of Porta Romana and a few steps from the Prada Foundation. With the subway around the corner and in a typical Milanese building of the early twentieth century, the apartment accommodates 4 people in maximum comfort. Casa da Suite Distinta was conceived for tourist stays or work stops, with custom-made furniture and design elements. For guests: unlimited wifi, air conditioning, smart TV, washing machine, dishwasher.\nPorta Romana is a famous district in Milanese history and traditions, well connected to the city center. Old artisan shops and typical street markets mingle with a modern shopping center and a large hypermarket. Numerous meeting places, and also restaurants, typical and trendy, which offer the opportunity to taste specialties of Italian and international cuisine, for every taste and pocket.
A few minutes on foot you can reach the brand new headquarters of the Prada Foundation (largo Isarco 2), a reference point for the Milanese cultural offer, which houses temporary exhibitions and a collection of works, mostly from the 20th and 21st centuries, from the collection Prada. Behind the Spanish walls of Porta Romana and next to the massive gate erected in 1596 (which for two centuries was the only monumental entrance to the city), there are the Spa of Milan, housed in an early twentieth century liberty building: a oasis of well-being, where silence is broken only by music, slow rhythms, relaxing atmospheres and invigorating massages. An oasis of relaxation that deserves a visit.
Along the streets where shopping is still done from shop to shop, you find in this area of Milan several specific boutiques for every need. Moreover there are also large supermarkets (the Esselunga in viale Umbria) or shopping centers (Piazza Lodi shopping center). Among the various attractions in the area we recommend Cascina Cuccagna, in via Privata Cuccagna 2/4, which in the 18th century belonged to the Fatebenefratelli Fathers who used the land belonging to it to cultivate the officinal herbs destined for the Ospedale Maggiore: it was reopened to the public in 2012. Among typical and local taverns that combine tradition with modernity I recommend the Dab Bass, in via Piacenza 13.\nThe Porta Romana underground stop of Line 3 is very close to the apartment. From here you can reach the Duomo in 7 minutes, the Central Station in 14 minutes, via Montenapoleone in 9 minutes. And then, with a change, the San Siro stadium in 25 minutes, the Porta Garibaldi station in 18 minutes. A few meters away you can also take tram 9 and bus 92. For those traveling by car it is important to know that the motorway (A1, ring road east) can be reached in about a quarter of an hour.
